• The BODICE collection is deeply inspired by historical clothing, especially from the 16th and 17th century, and brings the spirit of the past into contemporary clothing. In creating this collection, Hana Valtová was inspired by the patterns, sewing techniques, decorative and functional sewing techniques, silhouettes of the garments and their meaning at the time they were worn. Each garment in the collection shows one of the handicraft techniques from the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods, thanks to which the desired silhouette of the garment is achieved. Some of the craft techniques used in the collection include shaping techniques for making corsets, draping, perforating fabric, lacing, binding individual pieces of material together, pattern making, embroidery and more.

This collection is made up of a variety of styles that are consistent in colour, shape and material. The Bodice collection highlights specific silhouettes that promote femininity and elegance, combined with respect for craftsmanship and fine details. The garments thus evoke a sense of history and traditional craftsmanship.
